“Park Your Car and Ride A Bicycle” Lagos State to Introduce Bicycle Lanes on Major Roads



Over the past few weeks since the Lagos State government placed a ban restricting commercial motorcycles popularly known as Okada from major roads in Lagos, residents have been experiencing some difficulty in commuting to their various destinations. This has been made worse by the ongoing fuel scarcity which has ensured that fewer vehicles for public transportation are available on the streets thereby causing a hike in transport fares.

The United States of America has been hit by one of the biggest storms to ever descend on the country,Superstorm Sandy, with major disasters recorded in the cities of New York and Long Island. The storm which hit the mainland at 6.30pm local time yesterday has left a major parts of the cities under water. Millions of people on the East Coast are said to be facing fallen trees and widespread power outages caused by the giant storm, which swamped New York City’s subway system and submerged streets in Manhattan’s financial district.

Nigeria: Suspect Accuses Police Man of Joining in the Lynch of #Aluu4



More revelations are emerging on how four University of Port Harcourt undergraduates were killed as a suspect in custody, David Ugbaje, Tuesday accused a policeman of participating in the lynching of the deceased.

He said the policeman joined the mob in the killing of the four students at Omuokiri, Aluu, in Rivers State on October 5.

Nigerian Ambassador to Ukraine warns Nigerians against Studying in Ukranian Universities




Studying in Ukraine, has in recent times, been a topic of debate considering the alleged racial discrimination being experienced by Nigerian students and the problem of communicating in English Language. As English is not the official language spoken in Ukraine, Nigerian students often have difficulties in communicating when they travel there for their studies.

To buttress this, the Nigerian Ambassador to Ukraine, Frank Ngozi Isoh, has advised Nigerian parents to be wary of sending their children to English Language training institutions as Ukrainians are not proficient in the language.
