Top 5 annoying things people do on Facebook

Here are some annoying things people do on Facebook and the solutions to them

Facebook

Facebook is always a hot topic fro bloggers and I'm no exception. Please take no offence, to each his own right?

5 really annoying things people do on Facebook
1. Attention Seekers - People who update their walls or status with vague words like "its so sad" or "this hurts" and then don'y explain it further even after about a dozen comments asking what's wrong or if they're okay.
Solution – Don’t make comments to these status updates or you just feed the fire. If they really wanted you to know what’s wrong, they’d explain it in the first place.

 2. Group invites – My husband once said “Sorry, but I have no interest in supporting the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Seal Cullers!” Ain’t that the truth! How does joining a bazillion groups on Facebook help anything, and does there really need to be a group for half the crap that’s out there? I mean c’mon,  does there really need to be a group to support breast feeding mothers who want to smoke dope or one that if 100,000 people join I’ll name my baby after one of The Wiggles?
Solution – You could remove the people from your Friends list who are most guilty of spamming you with group invites (go to their wall, scroll down to where it says Remove from Friends on the bottom left of the screen). Other than that, as far as I know, there isn’t a whole lot else you can do besides sending them a message asking them to not include you in their invites.
3. Copy & paste status updates – The status updates that tell you that if you agree with the message you should copy and paste it to your status. For example, I just saw one that said “Before you were conceived, I wanted you. Before you were born, I loved you. Before you were an hour old, I would die for you. This is the miracle of life, and the power of love. Put this on your status if you have children you love more than life itself.” So, if I don’t copy this message onto my wall, does that mean I don’t love my son? Of course not, but do I really need to copy and paste a status update telling my friends this? Isn’t it already very obvious?
Solution – Don’t copy and paste the message…duh.
4. Friend requests from totally random strangers – I’m all for connecting with friends, family, people I work with, etc. … but if you don’t know me or have never, ever spoken to me, don’t ask to be my friend please! I don’t care if your profile pic is of you in a cute little bikini or if we share the same first name, I don’t want to connect with you just so you can reach 2,000 friends and then spam me with group invites or FarmVille updates. Which leads me to the next irritating thing people do on Facebook…
Oh, but first the:
Solution – The answer is pretty obvious. Don’t connect with random strangers. That’s whatChatroulette is for, no?
5. FarmVille updates – Despite the fact I said I’m not into group invites, I couldn’t help but laugh when I received one titled “I don’t care about your farm, or your fish, or your park, or your mafia!!!” Really, I don’t. I don’t care what you need or what level you’re on and you’re certainly not going to get any chickens or horse manure from me! Sorry.
Solution - If you share my distaste for these updates, the next time you see one, simply hover your mouse over the update and you should see the word Hide appear at the top right of the update. When you click on that, you’re provided the option to either hide the person or hide the application.
