World’s Biggest Ankara Festival To Hold In Los Angeles This September

The Ankara craze is definitely in vogue as more and more fashion designers and fashionistas in Africa and beyond have embraced the fabric.

Organisers of the world’s biggest Ankara festival, Ankara Festival Los Angeles have announced the date of the next edition of the event which is aimed at promoting the best in African and Nigerian culture through fashion, music, dance and food.

The 2012 edition which would be holding on the 29th of September, 2012 at Avalon Hollywood, 1735 Vine St. Los Angeles.

According to Dailytimes, top designers are billed to showcase the event: Design A Diva (Nigeria), DAF “Fashion That Speaks Volumes” (Cameroon), Sumahrie Collections (Sierra Leone), ND’s Pieces (Los Angeles), Oyato Designs (New York/Nigeria), Glamm Fashions (New York/Nigeria), MABM Designs(Ghana), Dai Z Couture(Cameroon) etc.
