Nigeria: Suspect Accuses Police Man of Joining in the Lynch of #Aluu4



More revelations are emerging on how four University of Port Harcourt undergraduates were killed as a suspect in custody, David Ugbaje, Tuesday accused a policeman of participating in the lynching of the deceased.

He said the policeman joined the mob in the killing of the four students at Omuokiri, Aluu, in Rivers State on October 5.

Ever since news of the gruesome murder of four undergraduate students of University of Port Harcourt went viral, some Nigerian celebrities have taken to Twitter and other social media platforms to condemn the act. One of whom is Chocolate City artiste, M.I, who has been praised severally for his great writing skills.
But this time around, M.I is not writing lyrics or poems. His heart-touching piece on the murder of the students – The Hope Is The Worst Part Of It calls on every Nigerian to be part of a change to ensure that this sort of thing never happens again.

Three Nigerian pilgrims die in Saudi Arabia




Three Nigerian pilgrims in Saudi Arabia have died, Dr Bello Tambawwal, the Head of National Hajj Commission of Nigeria Medina Mission, said. Tambawwal made the disclosure in an interview in Medina, saying the pilgrims were from Kebbi, Kano and Katsina states.

Jungle Justice & the Killing of 4 UNIPORT Students – Witnesses Recount their Stories


Yesterday, we were shocked with the news and pictures of the gruesome murder of four students of University of Port-Harcourt. The naked pictures of the students showing them paraded, beaten with their bodies soaked in blood and mud has left me feeling unsettled since I saw it. Next time I see the message *viewer discretion is advised*, I would definitely think twice before viewing them.

FCT to demolish estates along Airport Road



The department of development control, Abuja Metropolitan Management Council, says it will soon beging the demolition of illegal estates along the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Road, Abuja.

It accused some estate developers of building along the road with backdated allocation documents in spite  of the notices issued to them.

Nigeria: Govt Approves Billions for Construction of Five New Airports



The Federal Government has approved a sum of N106 billion naira, through the Federal Executive Council (FEC), to commence the construction of five new, world-class international airports.

Minister of Aviation, Princess Stella Oduah disclosed this in Abuja during a media briefing to update stakeholders on the development in the aviation sector.

As October 1 approaches, HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY.
I have enormous tracts of land and vast volumes of water, but cannot feed myself.
So I spend $1 billion to import rice and another $2 billion on milk.
I produce rice, but don’t eat it. I have millions of cows but no milk.
I am 52, please celebrate me.

More exciting revelations have emerged that the penchant for private jets acquisition has cost wealthy Nigerians over N1 trillion in five years. The luxury trend actually rose by 650% between 2007 and 2012, this has increased the rate of private jet acquisition from 20 in 2007 to over 150 in 2012 which has placed Nigeria  and china as the fastest growing private jets markets in the world.

According to him, about 60 million Nigerians spend N1.6 trillion on generators annually.

Nigeria: Lagos Teachers Begin Strike Today



Teachers in Lagos state public primary and secondary schools have begun their statewide strike action today.

In a press briefing by the state chairman of Nigerian Union of Teachers, Comrade Samson Kayode Idowu, the teachers vowed to go ahead with the strike since the state government had failed to hearken to their demands.
